Katherine is a freelance journalist and digital media editor based in Santa Monica, Calif. Between coordinating Kicker's Campus Ambassador program and her day job as Campus Program Coordinator over at She's the First, Katie simply refuses to leave her college years behind. She earned her degree in global politics and economics from the University of Tennessee, but left her Southern roots to become a real New Yorker (though she still says "y'all"... a lot). Caitlin is a senior studying communications at Pace University. She is a Pennsylvanian at heart, a major Philadelphia sports fan, and has a female guinea pig named after her favorite baseball player, Hunter Pence. She is also a bartender, a babysitter, and an animal rescuer. She has experience with start-ups, Fortune 500 companies and non-profits and is fluent in Ukrainian.
Kathryn is a marketing, branding, and revenue strategist and business leader with experience working in media, entertainment, technology and social enterprises with a passion for the consumer and user experience. She has held multifunctional positions in business development and brand strategy with major media companies as well as with tech-based startups, and her expertise is uncovering new opportunities for properties and advertisers that drive engagement, acquisition, partnerships and sales.
