Follow: @LisaVehrenkamp.
Rachel is a freelance writer and editor who lives in Philadelphia with her partner, her kid, and two terrible cats. She has a degree in rhetoric from UC Berkeley, and her work has appeared in HipMama, Liminalities, VICE, and more. When she's not geeking out about news and words, chances are decent she's eating pie while watching "King of the Hill" -- or she'd like to be, anyway. Follow: @mamacidal.
Brianna has been working in media since 2005, when she left Westfield University in Massachusetts and became the listings editor at an alt-weekly in Hartford. Now, she's the senior editor at the Times Union Magazine Division in Albany, N.Y. She cares very much about news, Beyonce, the Internet, gin and tonic and that Vine of this one puppy who keeps falling asleep and smooshing his face on a pillow. More at BriannaSnyder.com. Follow: @BriannaLSnyder.
Lily is currently a TV news producer in Dallas, Texas. Previously, she was a production assistant at MSNBC. She is also a recent NYU grad. She interned for Ann Curry's team at NBC News, The New York Times, The Village Voice, and the education nonprofit She's the First. Her interests range from politics to education to comedy. She is not actually a dinosaur. Follow: @lilyalta.
Jenny is a freelance writer from Orange County, California, and former banana slug, or UC Santa Cruz alum. She teaches classical and jazz piano to high school students and audits classes at UC Irvine. Inspired by Beyonce, Sheryl Sandberg, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and the Supreme Court's 3 badass lady justices, she'd like to see the U.S. elect their first woman president. Like, yesterday. Follow: @jennymcain.
Patrick is a freelance international news reporter, having contributed to The Atlantic online and Mic. He's worked at CNNMoney, the New York Daily News, and Voice of America. Patrick loves tweeting, reading, and grabbing coffee in either New York or Washington D.C. Tweet anything on politics or world conflict to him! Follow: @patrickdehahn.
Alison is a nomadic freelance writer originally from Northern Virginia. A 2013 NYU graduate, she has been writing for everyone from PR agencies to startup companies to actual real life publications. She wastes her time watching old movies with her dog, Louie. Follow: @sheepandcake.
Jessica is a London-based digital content manager and digital journalist covering tech, social media, business and politics. Before entering journalism she worked for a British political party. If she's not sharing cat gifs, Jessica can be found exploring the world, taking photographs, and attempting to learn Spanish. Follow: @jessica_mcgreal.
Sarah has been a nonprofit fundraiser, a door-to-door canvasser, and a personal finance reporter for SmartMoney.com. She is now a freelance writer, ghostwriter, and editor. She loves to travel, but mostly lives in Brooklyn with her cat, Jenkins, and her ever-deepening Joss Whedon obsession. Follow: @mssarahmorgan.
Olivia is an editorial assistant at The Record, New Jersey's second largest daily newspaper. She's a former BBC Travel intern and a proud Rutgers alum. She studied journalism, media studies, and English at Rutgers, where she was managing editor of the daily student newspaper and editor-in-chief of HerCampus.com/Rutgers. She was also on the rowing and triathlon teams. Dogs, summer, and DIY projects are up there on the list of her much-loved things in life. Follow: @OlivePretzel.
Katie is a news writer at Talking Points Memo, a former research assistant to investigative reporter Wayne Barrett, and a proud graduate of NYU, where she was deputy managing editor for the daily student newspaper, Washington Square News. In her free time, Katie hones her cooking skills and is fairly certain that she would beat Giada de Laurentiis in a cook-off. Follow: @KT_thomps.
Monica is a freelance journalist based in San Diego, CA. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz, where she worked as an editor at City on a Hill Press, with degrees in anthropology and creative writing. You can usually bribe her to write for you with tea, an almond croissant, or blueberries. Follow: @mgthunder.
Jon is a lover of words, a master at getting lost, a stranger to the concept of fashion, and a movie-going fiend. He wrote and edited for several publications at UC Santa Cruz, and longs for the rolling hills of campus now that he's ventured southward to Los Angeles. There, he has trouble reading parking signs, reads too many screenplays, and works on growing up. Follow: @HopscotchWillie.
Lauren is originally from outside Saint Louis, but traveled down the Mississippi River to be a student at Tulane University, where she is the editor-in-chief of The Tulane Review and director of the New Orleans Universities Relay for Life. She has also written for NOLAWoman.com and Winnovating. One day she'll figure out how to make the Time Turner real, but until then, she'd like to thank coffee for her success. Follow: @laurenwethers.

Sarah lives in Sydney, Australia, and is currently studying for her high school International Baccalaureate Diploma, as well as working towards her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. She is interested in philosophy, politics, and positive psychology, and in her free time can be found practicing meditative yoga, running, or passionately sharing a new holistic approach to health with friends. Sarah lives by the Steve Jobs quote, “Stay hungry, stay foolish.”
Kate is a research assistant at Rockefeller University. Her passion for science comes from many years fundraising for A Midwinter Night's Dream, one of the largest grassroots fundraisers on Long Island. A recent NYU grad, Kate's fondest memories are from her year spent abroad at NYU's new campus in Abu Dhabi. Her love for fast-paced walking, bagels and lox, and brownstones fueled her 6,800 mile journey back to the Big Apple, but love doesn't pay rent. So she resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where the coffee is black, the shirts are flannel, and the first language is actually Polish.
