Matt Lauer is the worst presidential forum moderator ever
Matt Lauer makes $20 million a year. His office pays for him to take a helicopter to work. He's been in the TV news business for many years.
And yet somehow, he was totally, utterly, painfully unprepared to quiz Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump about their readiness to serve as commander in chief in a televised forum.
The Internet has spent the past 24 hours slamming and mocking him. #LaueringtheBar trended most of the day.
Mr. Cheney, you made $39.5 Billion by invading the wrong Country, so I wanted to ask, do you like pizza?#LaueringTheBar

Instead of holding Trump's feet to the fire, Matt Lauer seemed to warm his hands at The Donald's celebrity glow. A poor showing.

Seriously -- everyone, and I mean everyone, knew this would happen. And Matt Lauer didn't have a followup planned? https://t.co/mm5ufZKjEx
