Michael Phelps ignited Twitter with a meme-worthy face

The 2016 Olympic games are underway, and the internet is doing what the internet does best: meme-ing EVERYTHING. Michael Phelps has given the most meme-worthy performance so far.

No, not while he was crushing the swimming game. It was actually his pre-race death stare game face that got Twitter all riled up.

That's right. It's that good of a face.

Before the men's 200-meter butterfly semifinals, Phelps was caught on candid camera making the most serious game face of all at one of his opponents: South African swimmer Chad Le Clos as he danced around in front of him.

Naturally, Twitter had a field day, and the results are amazing:

Phelps, the most decorated Olympian, finished second in the semifinal race, ahead of Le Clos, but will try to add to his collection of gold medals in the finals. Until then, tune into the hashtag #PhelpsFace on Twitter. You will not be disappointed.
