Boris Johnson isn’t going to replace David Cameron #Brexit
Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London, announced suddenly he would not be running as the new prime minister of of the UK. Yes, this has everything to do with Brexit.
Please explain this to me.
Britain is currently dealing with the political aftershock of the Brexit, or "British Exit," in which the country voted to leave the European Union (aka EU). The reasons for the decision to leave were many, but most have pointed out that the decision was mostly over immigration--the EU links the economies of 28 (well, now 27) different countries, and some people in the UK wanted independence from that.
You know how Texas is always saying they want to secede from the United States? That's kind of like what the UK said about the EU. ... But they actually did it.
After it passed, Prime Minister David Cameron resigned, basically because he's the one who introduced the whole idea of Brexit to begin with. Now that it's actually happened, people are freaking out.
So on top of all of that, the UK is now on the hunt for a new Prime Minister. And Boris Johnson--

--Johnson seemed like the obvious decision as the face of the movement that voted for the Brexit in the first place. But after his close ally Michael Gove announced he would be running, Johnson said he would instead be supporting Gove and would not run.
So, what does this mean?
A lot of people are pissed off that Johnson won't be running for Prime Minister--either because they support him or they hate the Brexit and think his actions are cowardly.
