Nothing to brighten up your day like a pic of the most adorable lion cub! The little one was born just three months ago and finally has a name.

Where did the zookeepers get the name?
Sometimes zookeepers have an inside name for an animal and a public name, but this time, the cub's only moniker is Tobias.
The zoo professes the name holds no particular significance, other than Tobias has cute toes (Toe-bias, get it?).
As Alicia DuBrava, the main big cats zookeeper, explained,
"while it is not uncommon to have a public and completely different behind-the-scenes name, we are hopeful that the public will embrace this name, particularly when considering his cute nickname, Toby. We hope they will be pleased."
How is the cub doing?
Tobias is perfectly healthy. Though his mother had a little trouble nursing, he now feeds separately while staying in close contact with his mom. Caregivers give him food in a holding area and he's adapted well.
Tobias is the first cub born at the Buffalo Zoo in 25 years and the first child of his lioness mother (his parents are Leile and Tiberius).
