Trump has been involved in dozens and dozens of tax battles
Donald Trump is the presumed GOP presidential nominee. He says he's really really rich, but he also refuses to release his federal tax returns--and yet expects any potential vice prez running mate to submit theirs.
Trump has already said his tax rate is "none of your business," and a campaign spokesman said it was because, wait for it ..."Trump’s not running for vice president." What?
The thing is, his financial situation appears to be ... interesting. Apparently, he's been involved in at least 100 lawsuits and disputes related to taxes. Whether its a dispute over unpaid taxes, or a dispute over how much tax his businesses owe, he's been involved in some sort of tax battle every year for the past nearly 30 years.

His resistance could ultimately lose voters' trust, as his campaign is built on being a successful businessman who is very rich. Is he, though?
Nice work from Crains: Trump got a tax break for people making less than $500,000 a year https://t.co/NeSG4wdaAM

This could also help the potential Democratic candidate build a major argument against him, which Hillary Clinton is already doing.
