These lines at airport security look nightmarish
Passengers at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Midway Airport were stranded in abysmally long lines. Why? Because as TSA couldn't handle their security checks.
At O'Hare, there was almost a two-hour wait at security.

At the Midway Airport, the line snaked all the way out the door and to the parking garage.

The US Department of Homeland Security has finally said it would hire more screening officers so the lines can move faster. Still, happy times are far away.
"We encourage people to have the appropriate expectations when they arrive at airports ... contemplate increased wait times as you travel."
The TSA is hiring 768 new employees during 2016 and also getting more dogs to assist in the screening process.
