Pope Francis kissing Muslims’ feet is the most uplifting thing you’ll see today

Amidst xenophobia in the US presidential election and growing fears of refugees after the Brussels attacks, Pope Francis gave us a very different message on equality.

What did the progressive Pope do this time?

In a ceremony for Maudy Thursday (marks the day of the Last Supper), the Pope washed and kissed the feet of 12 refugees. He said,

“All of us together: Muslims, Hindus, Catholics, Copts, Evangelicals ... all brothers and children of the same God"

Pope Francis also officially decreed that women would be part of the ceremony from here on out.

Yet again, Francis gives us a refreshing and welcome view on the world and people are loving it:
